I freak out when… #imustconfess

It’s 9.51pm on Sunday night. I’ve been flat out all day and I’ve just realised I have to write something for #imustconfess for the morning.

And I have nothing. No ideas or inspiration, whatsoever.

It’s every blogger’s worst nightmare, right there.

Yes, I do freak out over my blog and over my linkup. It’s a pet hate of mine when you go to linkup somewhere and the post is not live or the linkup is not working or you have no idea who’s hosting said linkup for that week.

So, yes I do freak out a little when my linkup isn’t ready on time or not written to my own high standards – like this one!

What freaks me out #imustconfess - myhometruths.com

Of course there are many other things that freak me out as well:

  • mountains – I have a real phobia about mountains and have been known to drive longer to avoid them where possible. I really, really don’t like them.
  • not being in control – at the moment I’m freaking out a little at the reality that we still haven’t confirmed Gibert’s high school for next year. We are close but not quite there yet. And that’s really freaking me out.
  • brain meltdowns – having had one of those, I hope to NEVER have one again. Over two years on and I’m still recovering from the trauma and the shock…
  • weird animated characters – does Dirt Girl weird you out as well? And what’s the go with the newer Disney princesses having massive eyes?
  • taking chances and making decisions – I really, really don’t like doing either of these things and the very thought of having to make potentially life-changing decisions really does freak me out.

What about you – what makes you freak out?

  1. I think the brain meltdown is a fair call. I’d like to add the weird anti terror ads that appear down the side when I look at your blog freak me out a bit (I don’t know whether they’re advertising on your page or whether google decided I should see iit) but they make me worry about why I’m being told to watch out…yikes.

Haha I was so tired when I wrote my post I forgot my fear of driving up and down mountains.

  3. I think being human ‘freaks us out’ most days…yes? Good prompt. D x

  4. I freak out over moths… how embarrassing is that?! Haha. I know what you mean about the big decisions though – we’ve just gone through a big one and so much emotion! Great link up! I’ve just discovered it! xx

  5. I freak out when I know I have to get on a plane. This is when wine is usually my best friend

  6. Ness says:

Taking chances and making decisions freaks me out, too. Which probably explains why I rarely do either. I can’t imagine how scary your brain melt down was. I hope you never have one again xo

  7. jess says:

I freak out over snot (if I can hear someone sniffling, snorting, blowing their nose in public it freaks me out!) haha, it is so weird. On a more mature note, I freak out when things aren’t organised…I’m not very good at just seeing how things pan out-I like a plan.

  8. The thought of skydiving freaks me out – and tornadoes. Glad I don’t live in the midwest of the USA in that case!

  9. Brain meltdown is not an irrational freaking out!

I hear you about life-changing decisions though…although, sometimes, I’ll make the decision and then quietly freak out afterwards!

I’m just so relieved when the decision is made that I bask in that for a while before freaking out all over again!

  10. Tory says:

Yup. Terrified of not being in control. Right there with you

  11. Making decisions – oh my gosh, yes! That is why I procrastinate and overthink every. single. thing. I’m too scared to make the wrong decision.

I love this series and link-up. If I weren’t so stinking busy, I’d join in!
