I Must Confess…the truth of my dreams

I Must Confess....the truth of my dreams

The truth of my dreams.

I really wish I could tell you juicy snippets of my subconscious. Hilarious anecdotes about the weird and wonderful that invade my brain between the hours of 11pm and 6am each night.

I want to regale you with embarrassing tales of worlds where workmates, celebrity crushes and that weird guy I seem to always encounter at the local shopping centre, come together in a kaleidoscope of crazy. I would LOVE to confess to stuff like that.

Sadly, my dreams are nothing like that at all. Well, the bits I remember, anyway.

I rarely remember my dreams. And when I do, I only recall snippets of the story or the general vibe of the dream.

I never remember much else. No juicy, blog worthy details from me, I’m afraid.

Do you remember your dreams? And are they memorable (i.e. batshit crazy?)

And, in line with this week’s prompt from my anonymous source – are you faithful to your partner in your dreams?

I have to say that I am. I think. I can honestly say that I’ve never dreamt of “being” with anyone else.

Although I have recalled a few snippets where I’ve wondered “why the hell was THAT person in my dream?” and “what did they DO to make me feel self-conscious around them today?”

I’m sure they would have been interesting dreams to note had I actually remembered any of the details.

Oh well…

  1. I’m hardly sleeping at the moment, so no real recent dreams to report but I did go through a stage where my dreams each night were like a tv series and ongoing. I wish I’d written them down because it would have made for an interest novel.

I’m playing catch up with study at the moment and blogging has taken a back seat. I will be back to link up hopefully before the end of the day.

Oh I have travelled the world and had bizarre experiences and had torrid affairs with celebrities in my dreams-thats what they are for!
I think the world unfaithful implies some type of intent, which is ridiculous when talking about dreams/fantasies etc. The mind is where we can explore different things in a safe way.

You are totally right there Jess. I just wish I could remember mine – I feel so boring and pedestrian not even remembering or fully enjoying my dreams!

  4. I have extremely vivid dreams – yes in colour. It could be some medication that I take …

I rarely remember my dreams and when I do they don’t make sense. On the rare occasions I’ve had a *coughs*..naughty dream I woke up before I got to the er…good part. Apparently I’m such a Pollyanna I can’t even cheat in a bloody dream! HMPH.

  6. Don’t you hate it when you are having a great dream and then you get woken up only to forget what t was all about

  7. Talking about dreams does make for interesting conversation, when you can remember them. I don’t recall my dreams generally but I can still remember the horrid snake one from when I was a kid and my sister used to have recurring dreams of the house burning down to the point that Mum thought it might actually happen.

Oh dear – if you remember dreams you want to remember the crazy ones, not the scary ones! I feel for your sister too – that would have been a horrifying dream to have over and over again.

  8. I made it. A rather half hearted attempt but it is a start.

You did better than me Raych – it’s taken me more than 24 hours to get around to my own linkup. Bad link host…

  9. I have wild dreams all the time although I very rarely remember them after about 20 mins post waking up. Mind you when I was pregnant my dreams were epic and I remembered them but its been over 2yrs now so I have no idea what they were.

Pregnancy dreams are something else. I also can’t remember mine (it’s been over 5 years for me now!) but I know they were the most vivid of my life!

  10. I can’t remember my last dream either, but I never wake up feeling rested anymore. I’m aiming at setting myself an earlier bedtime, but here I am again 12:30 & wide awake! #fail! I am faithful to my Husband in my dreams, I don’t recall being with anyone else nor imagining I’d want to be, so I guess he’s pretty safe both in real life & in my subconscious 🙂

I need to try to get to bed earlier too Danielle – I tend to stay up too late and get woken up too early by the kids. But it’s hard to fit everything in otherwise!!!!
