I’m thankful for the little wins lately. They may be small but they are still wins, nonetheless.

Little Things...Little Wins

I’m thankful that we have had two perfect speech therapy sessions with Gilbert. No tantrums, no unreasonable behaviour, no stress. He has been interested, asked appropriate questions and been unfailingly polite. It’s something that I would like to see a whole lot more of in my son, not just for one half hour session a week. #winning

I’m thankful that I get to enjoy an extra long weekend from Friday. Four days of leisure. Well, that’s not strictly true, I do have a few things to do but I’m looking forward to a few hours hanging out at a shopping centre while Matilda attends a cub scout outing. #winning

I’m thankful that I took the plunge and hired a cleaner. Today is the day – I’m so looking forward to coming home to a cleaner house. More importantly, a cleaner house that I didn’t have to slave over! #winning

I’m thankful for everyone currently being in good health around here. I’m healthy, my husband and kids are well, my Dad’s good after his health scare late last year and my mother-in-law is finally recovering after a period of ill-health too. Obviously I have now jinxed us all but it’s been a nice change to have a run of good health for once. #winning

I’m thankful that my husband is getting me up at 6am each morning to do an evil 7 minute workout. Mind you I’m not feeling very thankful at that very moment but I know it will do me good. What I’m actually more thankful for is the chance to spend some extra time together with him as we work out together and then enjoy breakfast together too. #winning

I’m also thankful that there is a winner for my recent Peppa Pig Friendship Month giveaway. Congratulations to Andrew who reminded me why we should all be thankful for real friendship:

Friendship lives in your heart and will stay there forever. Friendship allows you to care for someone and them for you. Friendship allows you to do stupid things and always be forgiven. You’ll instantly remember a friend in ten years because they are in your heart and not just your mind. Friends have the ability to change you, even if they don’t. Friends will be etched in your memories forever.

Andrew, I’ll be in contact with you soon to organise your prize!

So what are you thankful for today – something big or for those small wins that add up to be something awesome?

Linking up with Rhianna for Thankful Thursday.

And Ann for Things I Know.

And Bron for Weekend Rewind.

And Grace for FYBF!
