Musical Musings A to Z: Songs beginning with L

It’s time for more songs as part of my musical musings quest. This week we have reached L. If you are interested in finding out how I’ve journeyed here, check out the following links:

While we’re on the topic of L words, I’ve been feeling really lethargic lately. But only when it comes to the blog. In real life, I’ve been busy and energetic and sort of in control. But online, I seem to have misplaced my bloggy mojo.

I desperately want it back but I’m not sure how to do it. From previous experience, stepping back and having a break is the way to go. But as I Must Confess is going so well and with a few other review posts in the wind, as well as Problogger in August, I don’t feel  can step away right now.

So, instead, I am taking it slow and hoping the blogging mojo will return with full force. Sooner, rather than later.

Maybe my song choices for this week will help me out?

Let It Go – Idina Menzel

This is a huge favourite of my girls and after hearing it, ad nauseum, for months, it is now a favourite of mine as well. It’s one of those soaring songs that hooks you and makes you want to sing along at the top of your lungs. You only have to do a simple search on YouTube to see just how many “normal” people have been sucked in by the power of this song as well!

Look At Me – Geri Halliwell

I was an unashamed Spice Girls fan when I was younger, even though half the group really couldn’t sing. Geri (together with Posh Spice) were the half that couldn’t yet they are probably the two that have been the most successful – figure that one out. This song is catchy, fun and perfect for Geri’s lower range – it almost makes her sound like she can sing, after all…
