Peppa Pig’s Friendship Month + Giveaway!

A slightly belated welcome to May everyone! I’ve been slightly distracted by Delilah’s 4th birthday and requisite birthday party – to say I’ve been busy would be an understatement!

A very happy newly minted 4 year old!

May is known to most as the last month in Autumn. The month where we celebrate our mums and the month where the world embraces the wonder of the Eurovision song contest.

But did you know that May is also Peppa Pig’s friendship month?

My daughter LOVES Peppa Pig – in fact one of her favourite presents from her recent birthday was a Peppa Pig Guess Who game and memory cards!

I have to admit I’m also a closet fan. I get a laugh from how silly Daddy Pig is in each episode – he is my favourite character, among a cast of other very clever clogs!

For those of you not familiar with the show (and how could you NOT be?), Peppa is a lovable, cheeky little piggy who lives with her younger brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Peppa loves playing games, dressing up, visiting exciting places and making new friends, but her absolutely favourite thing is jumping up and down in muddy puddles. Her adventures always end happily with loud snorts of laughter.

You too can enjoy your own Peppa Pig adventure this May. Simply visit any ABC store this May to ‘find Peppa and her friends’. Collect an entry form from the till point and write down the name of the characters that you find. Once you have completed the hunt, hand your completed entry form to the counter to be entered into the competition and receive a Peppa Pig giveaway.

Friendship is knowing you don’t have to hide, pretend or censor yourself. That someone knows who you are inside-out and back-to-front – the good, the bad and the ugly – and still loves you for it.

Happy birthday to your little one. Mine is about to turn four as well and she is Peppa MAD!

4 is such a lovely age.

Friendship means knowing that there are loved ones to share the good times & the bad times with. People who support you & people you support.

  5. Friendship is being able to be just who you are, and be loved and accepted for it. 🙂
I’m a huge Peppa Pig fan too. How can you not be?

  6. Friendship is non judgmental. It’s not having to have a mad panic when your friend says she’s going to pop around (because the house is a disaster zone). It’s also raw and honest. I can tell my good friends anything.

  7. Happy Birthday Delilah! I have a nearly four year old who would LOVE to go to a Peppa show! Friendship to me starts with yourself. You have to love and value yourself so you know how to be treated as a friend. When making friends, you have to be a friend to make a friend. Friends make life so much more fun and bearable when life is ho hum.

For me friendship starts by valuing and loving yourself so you know how to be treated as a friend. You have to be a friend to make a friend and my friends make life so much richer and enjoyable! Friendship means a lot to me. 🙂

  11. Karen Edwards says:

Friendship to me is someone that you know will always be there in your life they may not be in your day to day life but are just a phone call or text message away

  12. Rhianna says:

Friendship is being able to fart in their company and not feel embarrassed. No wait that is marriage, seriously true friendship is one of the most specialist gifts you can have or give. It is about being yourself, being accepted for yourself and accepting someone else for who they are.

  13. Melissa Jones says:

As a social creature, we rely on friendship. To me, a true friendship is sincere, precious and undoubted. We can make friends not only with peers but also our parents or our kids who can listen to us and talk to us with heart.

  14. Monique says:

A true friend sticks by you even when you do or say the wrong thing! It’s really easy to be friends when all is going well, but at the end of the day we are all human (or should I say pigs?) and are not perfect. I am realising this at this point in my life, because a lady who I thought was a real friend shunned me when I was sick and in pain and had been in hospital and said something I shouldn’t have…. which wasn’t really that bad, but it really made me aware of what friendship really means and if she was a REAL friend she would not have cared. Sorry for the long story hehe 🙂 Monique

  15. Andrew says:

Friendship lives in your heart and will stay there forever. Friendship allows you to care for someone and them for you. Friendship allows you to do stupid things and always be forgiven. You’ll instantly remember a friend in ten years because they are in your heart and not just your mind. Friends have the ability to change you, even if they don’t. Friends will be etched in your memories forever.

  16. Jo says:

We know true friends because we feel ok about being our authentic vulnerable self, without fear of judgement or ridicule.

  17. Maria V says:

If I am comfortable around the person I am with, can be myself and say what’s on my mind without being judged, can confide, laugh, cry and listen to that person then that person is a true friend.

  18. cathy bailey says:

Friendship means a lot to me.My best friend & I met 43 yrs ago & have shared many highs & lows. We are always in touch to see how each is going.I would miss her company so much if she wasn’t here to confide in.

Never being alone – you always have someone you can turn to and count on.

  20. Holly says:

Friendship is being able to be yourself completely, with no fear of judgement. It is having someone you can laugh with, or sit comfortably in silence. It is knowing that person will be there no matter what and knowing you would do the same in return.

  23. Karla Oleinikoff says:

Friendship means being there for each other during all the ups and downs and accepting each other as you are.

  24. andreea nicolescu says:

Real friends build each other up not tear each other down, if a so called friend puts you down it is a toxic friendship that no one needs. Friends should be there for each other through all the times, sharing the good , the sad, and the bad.( a good friend always brings wine)

  25. Michelle Gray says:

Friendship to me is a relationship which offers so many elements to a persons life, making me a better person.
