Musical Musings A to Z: Songs beginning with G

What a week! We had a birthday, birthday party (which we somehow got through by the skin of our teeth!), return to school and after school activities and I finally managed a full week at work.

There was also the small matter of transferring our home internet to another provider and being without internet for a few days. Small to most people but pretty big to an iFamily like ours! Thankfully order has been restored now 🙂

Anyway, despite the pace of the week and my absence from the interwebz, I have still found a little time to blog and share some more of my musical musings.

Check out my previous A to Z posts here: / B / D / E / F

I have found it a little more difficult this week as I have shared a number of my favourite G songs in the past. So I can’t go with some of my absolute favourites which makes me a little sad…

However, it has given me the chance to rediscover some less obvious favourites which I am very happy to share with you today.

Give It Away – Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Classic Chilli Peppers – big bass and a distinctive beat. This is one of the first songs of theirs that I ever heard and it remains one of my favourites.

Got to Give it Up – Marvin Gaye

Smooth, groovy and soulful. Marvin Gaye was a genius when it came to perfect R&B. This is one danceable and groovable tune!

As always, these represent my favourites that I haven’t already featured on the blog. So, what would you include for your list of favourite G songs?

Spread the positivity!

What, no Gangnam Style?! Ha! Goodbye by Hootie and the Blowfish, and Glycerine by Bush. I always seem to pick ones that remind me of my teens!

And now I have Peter Andre in my head. Gimme some kind of sign, girl, ooh my baby, show me that you’re my girl… AARGH.
