Musical Musings A to Z: Songs Beginning with C

First off, can I thank you all for your many and varied suggestions from last week? I’m loving how so many of you are sharing your own selections as we move through the alphabet. It’s all sorts of awesome.

Music A to Z

This week I’m playing it slow and sultry – prepare to get a little hot under the collar with Montell Jordan’s Close the Door, one of THE most soulful tunes I have ever heard. I’m blushing already…

And then I’m going to get the place jumping with The Jackson Five’s Can You Feel It? Which can also be viewed as sexy choice as long as you close your eyes and don’t see the very kitsch video clip!

Montell Jordan – Close the Door

This song oozes with soul. Trust me, put this tune on for your significant other and get ready to close the door yourselves!

The Jackson Five – Can You Feel It?

This would always get me on the dance floor in my nightclubbing days – what an absolute disco classic!

I’m ready – hit me with your favourites starting with C!

Spread the positivity!

Oh, I do love that song too. There are so many to choose from and I’m continually being reminded of all the cool songs I forgot about!

Currently I love ‘Counting Stars’ by One Republic and I’m going through my iPhone playlists and ‘Come Dancing’ by Matchbox 20 is another one that pops out at me too!

I have to agree with you Kirsty about ‘Can you feel it’ – such a great tune. As for the first song that comes to mind starting with a C, well that would be Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in love’. It always gets me shakin’ my booty!

Oops, I missed B! Well, I’ll put it here. Blackbird. Weird, because I usually prefer Lennon’s Beatles tracks to those of McCartney. And Brass in Pocket. Until Special K ruined it. Grrrrr.

Anyway, C. 3yo would lock in Call My Maybe (I blame hubby for introducing it to her!). But I’ll go with Calypso by Spiderbait. And Caught in the Crowd by Kate Miller-Heidke.
