Happy Australia Day everyone!

This week, to celebrate our national day, I wanted to share some of my all-time favourite Aussie hits. There are so many to choose from – we certainly are the lucky country when it comes to the depth of our collective musical talent.

It was hard, but I’ve come up with four of my favourite hits from my Favourites playlist on my iPhone. These Aussie artists will always be dear to me as they represented the music I loved from my youth.

As always, I would love to hear what you would pick for your list of favourite Australian hits!

Kylie Minogue – What Do I Have to Do

Swoop – It Could Happen Any Day Now

Kate Ceberano – Love Dimension

Crowded House – Into Temptation

So, what epitomises the best of Australian music to you?

Happy Australia Day my friends!

Happy Australia Day. Perhaps Run to Paradise, only because it reminds me of that first holiday to Qld I ventured on with a few friends when I started my first job. Perhaps something from Paul Kelly and I will have to put my thinking cap on for the rest.

I love the Kate and Kylie songs. I’d have to add ‘Down Under’ by Men at Work, given the fact that I am an Aussie who currently lives in England 🙂 I hope you had a great Australia Day.

I love Pete Murray’s songs. And, I agree with Cathy and say Down Under. My parents are back to Canada and I’m catching up on blogging this week. So, I just wanted to stop by to wish you Kirsty a very Happy New Year 2014 to you and your family filled with everything you want and love! All the best!
