I Must Confess…Bad Photos of Me
Another Monday, another confession. And this one is a doozy – I wonder how many others will be brave enough to share bad photos of themselves?
I have mulling over this topic for a while, ever since I got my passport photo. In fact, 2013 was a stellar year as far as getting crap photos go. I applied for a passport (always assured of being unflattering) plus I recently had to renew my drivers licence too – yippee, another chance to look less than my best.
And soon I have to have my work pass and accompanying photo renewed as well – I suspect that will be as bad, if not worse, than the others!
What is the deal with not being able to smile in any sort of official photo? Will I really have to look like I’m feeling constipated for the next 10 years? Or, for those who can remember back that far, will I have to look like Noelene from Sylvania Waters until 2023?
Channeling my inner bogan reality star on my passport
And ready for any future mug shot on my licence!
But I can’t blame bureaucracy for all my bad photos. My lovely husband, Nathan, is also very good at catching me at the most unflattering of moments…

On the ferry to Rangitoto with the three little bears
And, then there’s the unfortunate selfies that I can’t blame anyone else but myself for…
