I Must Confess…I Love Holidays!
I know this is a very obvious confession – seriously, the greater confession would be if I DIDN’T love holidays, wouldn’t it?
But as we hurtle towards the end of 2013 and enter the season for holidays I thought it would be fun to get us all in the mood early by sharing our favourite holiday experiences and, of course, the obligatory happy snaps.
We are currently getting ready for our first overseas holiday as a family to New Zealand, a few days after Christmas. I’m hoping to be able to bore you with LOTS of holiday snaps on our return, just like some of our previously blogged jaunts…
Like the time we went to Gerroa for a family getaway with the rest of the immediate Russell clan:
Or our last holiday up at our kids’ all-time favourite destination, Hallidays Point:
Or even my trip down memory lane when I revisited my first ever overseas odyssey as a teenager:
But there is one very special vacation that I have not yet shared with you – my honeymoon! Nathan and I were lucky enough to visit magical Paris and London for our bridal tour back in 2000 because, ironically, in the aftermath of the Sydney Olympics home grown destinations were as costly as heading off to the other side of the world.
But, I must confess, we really didn’t need much convincing…!
Here are some of the memories captured on that whirlwind trip 13 years ago:
Oh, we looked so happy and young back then… 😉
OK – what has been your favourite holiday destination? And where would you love to travel to next?
