Christmas Miracles

I’m thankful today for what I consider to be small Christmas miracles.  I’m talking about those things that you, at times, doubt will ever be achieved but give you so much joy when they finally come to fruition!

I have a little list of Christmas miracles that I want to celebrate today as it’s Thankful Thursday with Rhianna!

Miracle #1 – on the work front I have finally had breakthroughs on two long-standing projects which will make it easier for me to rest and relax on my three week break away from the workplace. Go me!

Miracle #2 – we finally sold our car last weekend after weeks and weeks of hassle. I’m very, very relieved to have been able to sort that out before Christmas – a very nice bonus for us!

Miracle #3 – after receiving an award at the school presentation day last week, Gilbert followed this up by performing with his class at the school Christmas Gala on Tuesday night. He rarely performs so this was another big deal. Yes, there were again tears from mum…I’m such a sook!

Miracle #4 – I think I’m finished the Christmas shopping. I braved Charlestown Square on Monday evening and actually got most of what was left on my list without too much pain. There’s a miracle in anyone’s language…

Miracle #5 – I won a prize this week from the lovely Raychel AKA Ms Mystery Case. I’m not the luckiest person on the planet so it’s nice to actually be the recipient of something, just for me, for once!

Miracle #6 – I finally worked out how to download Delilah’s immunisation history online after months of being chased by preschool for the information. Now I just need to remember to take it to preschool today for her last day…

Miracle #7 – I braved the dentist for my first ever exam and cleaning last week. I was a good girl and received my very own toothbrush just like when I was a kid 😉

Miracle #8 – Apparently I get two free dental checkups and exams every year with my health fund but no-one bothered to tell me. The miracle is the fact I found this out at all…

Miracle #9 – I still remain filling-free despite only having been to the dentist three times in my adult life. That is indeed a miracle!

Miracle #10 – We go to New Zealand next weekend – I can’t believe it is so literally around the corner. I can’t wait! And I bet you can’t wait to stop hearing me go on about it!

What little Christmas miracles are you thankful for today?

Have a wonderful trip in NZ – look forward to seeing some pics. Happy xmas and all that! No miracles here. But I’m okay with that. I got told I was flawless yesterday – by a machine, but I’ll still take it…that’s sort of a miracle.

Have a great trip. As much as I’d like to say can’t wait to hear all about it I’ve got a huge case of holiday envy and well let’s just leave it there. lol

After my twelve days of giveaways (and now an instagram comp) I was on the receiving end of a prize myself. A nespresso machine. As we have a coffee machine with reasonably priced pods that I like I’m thinking the nespresso may end up in the prize cupboard.

  7. Such a positive list Kirsty, you always seems to be able to take the good withe bad in your stride. Have a ball in NZ, I can’t wait to have a family holiday one day. But it won’t be for awhile, especially as hubby got made maliciously redundant three weeks ago, it’s playing on him a bit but we’ll pick ourselves up a bit, I’m just grateful I have work. Merry Christmas lovely and I look forward to another ‘year’ with your blog xxx Em
