Musical Musings A to Z: N is for No Doubt

On a Sunday I like to focus on music on the blog and for the last few months I have been travelling the musical alphabet, featuring some of my favourite artists from A to Z. If you are interested in how I have gotten to this point, check out the links below:

A is for Rick Astley

B is for Ben Folds Five

C is for Cake

D is for Doobie Brothers

E is for En Vogue and Eternal

F is for Aretha Franklin

G is for Garbage

H is for Hall & Oates

I is for INXS

J is for Michael Jackson

K is for Lenny Kravitz

L is for Lisa Stansfield

M is for Moloko

This week we have got to N and I have chosen to focus on eclectic US ska/punk/rock/pop/alternative outfit, No Doubt. My husband is a pretty major fan and introduced them to me in the 1990’s.

I am not keen on all their back catalogue (probably because I’m not a massive fan of ska or reggae) but over the years they have released some pretty awesome pop songs. I’ve included my two all-time favourites today for your listening pleasure!

Hella Good
This just makes me want to dance – it’s upbeat, got some great riffs and has a rocking electronica sound too. One of their best!

It’s My Life
The bass line in the verse of this song really makes this for me. The video clip is also fabulous – Gwen Stefani is stunning, isn’t she?

What would you have picked as your N artist?

Hope you can join me next time as I continue along my musical odyssey through the alphabet!

Spread the positivity!

Seriously, there are some great bands out there – hope your brain has now recovered from the overload!

  3. Um…no actually, K. I had a look through the N section of my Squeezebox server to help me though…
