My baby girl turned three on the weekend. Three.
I’m still trying to work out how that happened…
Delilah doesn’t look like a three year old. Her diminutive stature and wispy hair makes her look more like an eighteen month old. Maybe as her mother I am biased but she certainly doesn’t look like a three year old to me!
But three she is. And just to ram that truth home, she is starting at preschool later this week too. I can’t quite believe that either, to be honest!
Delilah is a joy. She is clever, precocious and curious. She is always busy, so, so busy. She is fiercely independent yet highly protective and caring of her big brother and sister.
Delilah is loving, imaginative and innately entertaining. She makes it very difficult for me not to laugh when I should be giving her the evil eye – even her tantrums usually amuse me!
Although the attitude is ramping up and she is beginning to really push the boundaries here at home, she remains a sunny and good-natured little girl. We have been truly blessed to have her in our family. I can’t wait to see how she grows and develops and matures.
To my three year old princess – we love you very much. You have enriched our lives more than we could have ever imagined and we are very lucky to have you in our family. Whatever the future brings, know that you are loved and adored. And remember, you will always be our baby girl.
Happy birthday Delilah Bear!
Sharing the birthday love as part of Jess‘ IBOT linkup – Tuesday really is a great day for blogging 🙂
