Musical Musings A to Z: I is for INXS

Hi there! How are you doing this fine Sunday?

After a week’s break from the blog I am feeling a little more like myself and ready to launch back into my musical journey through the alphabet. You can catch up on any post you have missed by clicking on the list below:

A is for Rick Astley

C is for Cake

D is for Doobie Brothers

E is for En Vogue and Eternal

F is for Aretha Franklin

G is for Garbage

H is for Hall & Oates

I’m sticking with the 80’s again this week with a look at one of the all-time classic Aussie bands, INXS.

I was a bit too young to be into Michael Hutchence back then but I WAS into their music and I think most of it has stood the test of time. They perfected rock, pop and ballads and kept delivering the hits right up until Hutchence’s death in 1997.

I have picked two of my favourites to share today but I’d love to hear what would make your list of INXS faves. For the record I also love Devil Inside, New Sensation, Never Tear Us Apart, Listen Like Thieves and What You Need. There really are so many classics to pick from, isn’t there?

Love INXS. I was given ‘The Swing’ album when I was about 12, loved it. I bought the KICK one on vinyl when it came out. Great songs on there too 🙂
