Liebster Love
It’s award season around the blogosphere and I’ve been shown some love – yay!

Lisa from MummyManifesto has kindly bestowed upon me a Liebster Award and as part of the deal, I need to answer the following questions she has posed. So here goes:
1. The worst “compliment” you have ever received?
I was once told that I had “an athletic body” by a salesperson in a fashion store (i.e. I had no boobs). Yeah, thanks for pointing out the obvious there!
2. Your favourite midnight snack?
I don’t actually snack at midnight but I suppose I would go for chocolate if I ever felt the urge.
3. The hardest thing about blogging is?
Finding the golden triangle – the happy place where opportunity, inspiration and time come together in a beautiful bloggy heaven!
4. The one character trait you hope to pass onto your child/ren?
Positivity. I want them to always look forward to tomorrow and look on the bright side of life.
5. Favourite birthday celebration so far?
My 20th birthday was awesome. I threw a party at home and had the best night with my best friends talking and drinking and eating my mum’s homemade spaghetti bolognaise. It was perfect.
6. The one character trait you hope your partner passes onto your child/ren
Good sportsmanship. My husband is the fairest person I know and I would love for my children to grow up without a win at all costs attitude.
7. One bad habit you wish you could get rid of?
Nail biting.
8. Camping or Hotel?
Hotel. I can’t do real camping. I could do civilised camping (in a fully serviced park, in a cabin) but otherwise, hand me my complimentary slippers and robe.
9. Name one blogger you want to meet in real life and why?
I want to meet Emily from Have a Laugh On Me in real life. I have a feeling we’d have awesome, awesome fun together!
10. Your signature dish in the kitchen?
Hahaha. Is this a joke question? No? Okay, does oven baked pies and chips count? That’s certainly the dish that makes my son happy!
11. Your most treasured possession?
I think it would be a gold ringlet pendant that my husband once gave me – he said it reminded him of my curly hair so I really treasure what that means to me.
From what I understand, I now tag some of my favourite bloggers and pose some questions of my own…OMG the pressure…
So stand to attention:
I would love to read your responses to the following questions:
1. Favourite TV show?
2. Real book or ebook?
3. Ultimate holiday destination?
4. If you had three wishes, what would they be?
5. Are you a cat or a dog person?
6. I am awesome because…
7. Any regrets?
8. First car?
9. iThings or Android?
10. Favourite pastime?
11. What do you love best about blogging?
Phew. That was surprisingly hard!

Congratulations on the award lovely, so very deserving and thank you so much for passing it on to me. I have been struggling with a post for today so this might be exactly what I need to get the ball rolling. I want to meet Emily as well, she seems to have just my kind of sense of humour.

Thanks Rhi. I would love for all of us to get together one day. I’m really bummed that I can’t get to DPCON this year, especially as it’s only 2 hours away from me – we could have had a hoot together there! I hope you have an awesome time, I will definitely be there in spirit!
Love these things as they are so revealing through the unexpected questions.
Hope your week is going swimmingly!

Thanks Seana, I love these posts too. As most people are probably realising now, I’m a bit of a nosey parker (why else would I host a confession linkup?) and I love finding out more about my favourite bloggers. Looking forward to seeing the responses of the bloggers I have nominated too…
Oh Kirsty, we women do always take the worst meaning from a compliment! What I would give to be referred to as “athletic” again… Sigh. I love your gold ringlet story too. #teamIBOT
I know Twitchy – as I hurtle towards 40 I would love to be seen to be athletic again but at the time (I was 21) I was truly affronted – strange, but true!
We would have a hilarious time together for sure Kirsty, especially if we could eat oven baked pie and chips for dinner! Washed down with a wine or 5!!! And since I also prefer cabins over tents at the moment, it looks like we’ll be meeting there! Thanks for sharing and for the LOVE. Em

You’re on! Pies, chips, wine – what else could we need? Apart from wifi, of course
Great answers Kirsty, and Emily would be so much fun to meet!
Thanks for nominating me Lisa – it was actually fun to do, but hard to come up with some new questions and to narrow down the bloggers. I’m already looking forward to seeing their respomses…
You know from your head shot in on the side bar, I would not have pegged you as athletic, but rather well endowed!! Is that weird?
And you should try camping sometime. It’s fun

I’m flattered Jess – I must admit the judicial use of a padded bra can do wonders for a modest busted person like me!
I was actually inspired by your recent camping trip for about a minute, until I remembered that I couldn’t camp rough for days on end as you guys did – I’m just not that sort of girl!
Dont listen to Jess, Kirsty, hotels all the way lovey!!

Oh yes, you can’t beat a hotel – thanks for backing me up Becc!
Aww thanks Kirsty!! Will see what I can do about getting to answering those questions! I’m so with you on “hotel”!

No problems Aroha. Ever since we stayed at The Grace in Sydney for a weekend away last year I’ve known that camping could never trump a classy hotel!
Love your answers Kirsty! Congrats on another well deserved award. And I agree, I think Emily would be great to meet too
And the golden triangle – well said! It’s a task and a half isn’t it? x
