300

No, I’m not talking about that 300 today, despite Gerard Butler’s killer abs.

I’m talking about this post being number 300 for me – woohoo!

And, another blogging milestone is coming up in a few weeks when I celebrate my second blogging anniversary on January 1.

Who knew that I would still be doing this 2 years and 300 posts down the track? I certainly didn’t!

Surprisingly, it seems I grow to love blogging more and more each day. What started out as an ad-hoc hobby has transformed into a way of life.

I love the connections, the inspiration, the cameraderie, the sense of belonging.

And of course, I love you, for taking the time out of your busy day to come by and visit from time to time.

So I want to take this opportunity to thank every single person who has ever read this blog, everybody who has ever taken the time to comment and the lovely souls who have decided to follow me in some shape or form on social media.

Thank you. So very much.

While we’re being all warm and fuzzy I’m going to take a leaf out of Suger Coat It‘s book and undertake a roll call.

I would love to know who is reading and following. Even if you just like to lurk (something I do a lot of elsewhere!), maybe consider de-lurking for a moment and letting me know you are there.

A quick wave will suffice – then you can continue lurking again at your leisure…

It seems, despite the advances of statistics and technology, I cannot find this information anywhere else.

Feedburner has never played nice and insists I have no email subscribers even though I subscribe through two separate email accounts.

Before you ask, no I am not in love with myself, I just wanted to check to see if the email subscription was working – so DOES anyone else subscribe?

And while we’re chatting, what do you like to read about the most here? I’m a bit of a mixed bag and not to everyone’s taste but I would love to know what topics or themes strike a chord with you the most.

I value your input and support – I really, really do.

So if you are a regular or irregular reader of My Home Truths, please take the time to say hi. I would love to hear from you!

As usual, I’m flogging with Grace, flashing with Bree and knowing with Miss Cinders!

Spread the positivity!

Thanks for that Ness – it’s good to know that there is at least someone else out there – I’ll need to sort out Feedburner next!

Hi, Congrats your 300th post. That is a big achievement – I read that many people stop blogging around the 9 month mark, so for all, who make it past, well done.

On FYBF, I am celebrating with my 100th post! So still a way to catch up with you.

Hi Me, thanks for letting me know that you are getting emails – feedburner is clearly a big fat liar!

I appreciate you stopping by occasionally – I know I can’t keep up with all my favourite bloggers all the time and I know I’m not the only one with that problem.

      Enjoy your weekend too!

Congrats. That’s great. And to the next 300 *clink* (that was me raising a glass)

    • Kirsty says:

Thanks Lydia. I’m keen to see how far I can go – I can’t promise another 300, but if inspiration and motivation remain, who knows?

  6. Congratulations!!!! Big milestone 🙂

I’m here, (wave). Congrats on 300!

I am having issues with feedburner myself. Spent way too many hours trying to sort it out last night. I have subrcibed to myself and don’t get the emails. And my reach is 0. Very confused.

    • Kirsty says:

Hi Sophie and thanks (waving back!)

Feedburner has never given me proper statistics – I knew a friend of mine subscribed and that I was subscribing with 2 email accounts but still it claims I have 0 subscribers. It’s quite disheartening, really. If you do happen to work it out for you, can you let me know too? I’ll do the same for you, but I don’t like my chances!

  8. Jayne says:

Feedburner is a weird one. It tells me I have no subscribers, yet analytics show me that some of my visitors come via RSS.

I’m here! I usually click through from FYBF or Facebook.

    Congratulations on reaching your milestone!

    • Kirsty says:

Hi Rita, thanks for letting me know and for taking the time to say hi! It’s so hard to know who your readers are and with so many fantastic blogs around not everyone can get around to every post. I know I struggle just to participate properly in linkups, let alone getting around to everyone on a daily basis…

    Congratulations on reaching 300 posts.
I can’t read every day I do pop by every week or so and always enjoy your posts too.

Thanks Bree. It’s taken me a little while to get there but I am still in awe that I have written 300 posts at all and that I’m nearing my 2nd blogoversary. For something that started as a bit of an ad-hoc New Year’s resolution, it’s turned out to be a pretty amazing thing!
