Moving Forward with My Home Truths
A few weeks back I asked for your opinion on whether I should resurrect I Must Confess as a weekly linkup. I want to thank you all for your advice, it was fantastic to hear your honest and very helpful opinions.
Thanks to your input I am going to bring I Must Confess back on a Monday, starting next Monday November 19. So start thinking about what you may want to get off your chest and get ready to link up.
And if you can’t link up on Monday, don’t despair as the linkup will be live all week – so no excuses, okay? Unless you have nothing to confess, then you’re off the hook…for this week, anyway…
In other blogging news, I have been doing a fair bit of musing about the direction of the blog and what I want to achieve from it.
I still have no answers as to whether I want to fully monetize or expand but I know one thing for sure. I want to increase the sense of community and embrace other voices and points of view here.
So I have decided to open my blog up to guest posts every Wednesday. Now I don’t have a massive readership but I would love to share my modest space with other bloggers and even those who don’t blog but may have a post inside them itching to escape.
Just so you know, I’m pretty nicheless – my blog flits between parenting and special needs and personal and music – it never stays in the one niche for long. So I’m open to posts on pretty much any subject you choose.
I’d love to inject some humour so bring on your funny posts. I would love to hear real accounts of other special needs parents so send them through. I think seeing more advice and organisational posts would be great as I am not organised in the least. And if you want to rant or vent or complain, go right ahead.
If you’re interested in submitting a guest post, let me know as I’d love to hear from you. Send an email to email@example.com and we’ll go from there. I’ll even get my husband to work on a snazzy button – he’s useful like that!
While on the subject of guest blogging, I’m keen to contribute to other blogs as well so if you’re interested in having a guest post of your own, feel free to get in touch too.
So there you have it – a way forward for My Home Truths. I’m looking forward to building a real community here and getting to know you all a little better. And I really hope you can join me on this journey too.
