Thank Goodness for…

…rediscovering my willpower and my motivation to eat better and lose weight – over 8kgs down now and counting!

…the funny line-up on ABC1 on a Wednesday night – Gruen Planet, The Hamster Wheel and Randling always make me laugh and think and smile.

…our slightly dodgy access to Hulu so we can watch our favourite overseas TV shows now, rather than waiting until February to get them on freeview. I’m absolutely loving the new series of Castle – it’s awesome people!

…the warmer weather which is enticing us all outside and re-introducing us to the joy of BBQs and outdoor dining.

…my morning walk. It’s liberating to greet the morning sun and have 30 minutes of quiet to myself before the relentless whirl of the day begins.

…our body clocks FINALLY adjusting to daylight savings time – I can’t believe how out of sorts we all felt this year!

…the support of my mother-in-law. She came to my rescue again this week by looking after an unwell Delilah and picking the kids up from school when I had to work back on Tuesday. She is a star.

…Pinterest. I am finding so much inspiration there for Matilda’s upcoming Halloween themed birthday party – just check out these pins below…

Kate’s Thankful Thursday linkup which always helps me to take stock of my life and remember to be truly thankful for all that I have.

Congratulations on your weight loss! I am loving the change in weather, and also daylight saving. In the middle of summer, in Tassie, it doesn’t get completely dark until 9.30/10pm, and I love that!

    Those halloween ideas are great!

I’m loving the weather at the moment – it’s great to get home after work and know that there is more day ahead of me! I love all the Halloween ideas I have found so far – Pinterest is da bomb, I should have got on the bandwagon sooner…

It’s often the little things that get overlooked but they often make us the happiest and the most thankful. I need to stop and acknowledge these little things more often!

  3. Well done on your 8 kilo loss! Keep up the hard work, it is clearly paying off! And I’m with you on the Thank God for nannas!

Thanks Aroha, I had another weigh-in today and everything still looks on track – so relieved! Nannas are gold, aren’t they? I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them…

  4. How good is pinterest for birthday party planning. Almost too good actually as I want to do everything! And good work on the weightloss. I am struggling at the moment, these last 3 kgs of baby weight refusing to shift, so my motivation lacks, which then makes shifting the last 3 even harder. It’s a vicious cycle. And the fact that I then really need to lose another 10kgs on top of that makes it all just seem so hard. Thank goodness Dave is back on slightly normal hours next week to help kick me back in to gear.

I resisted joining Pinterest for ages Kylie as I didn’t want to be sucked in, but it is SO handy for party planning – I just have to decide what inspiration to take! Good luck with your weight loss journey, I couldn’t do it alone and have gone to Weight Watchers to find the motivation and willpower to get back into shape – I hope you can get back into gear!
