Sunday Session – Blast From the Past

By now, you would know that I really do look forward to the weekly Sunday Session linkup hosted by Thea at Do I Really Wanna Blog?

This week I want to spotlight some songs that I have loved for years and years. I think I will still love them years and years down the track as well.

First is George Benson’s “Turn Your Love Around”. My parents loved him and I remember playing their vinyl record of his “On Broadway” album many a time when I was young, but this song is my absolute favourite of his.

Next is the Doobie Brothers with “What a Fool Believes”. I really love this song, I always have.

I can’t go past sharing Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music” – this song was meant to be danced to!

And, finally, here’s Earth, Wind and Fire with “Boogie Wonderland”. I love, love, love Earth, Wind and Fire…

I hope you enjoy this blast from the past as much as I did putting it together!

These are all great songs, and I listened to them heaps back in the day. They take me right to my childhood! – days swimming at the river, discos, and roller skating especially. xx

Those songs definitely remind me of the days before we all started worrying so much – gosh I miss my easy-going childhood! Maybe that’s why I love these songs so much?
