Things I Know About Working on a Friday

Another Friday is upon us and I’d normally be at home having some one-on-one time with Delilah Bear. But not today. I am instead at work.

But that is no excuse to not play along with Things I Know hosted by Shae from Yay for Home. So, thanks to the wonder of scheduled posts, here goes…

* I can’t remember the last time I worked on a Friday but I bet it sucked!

* My foray back into Fridays is due to me having to swap days this week to look after Gilbert whose school decided to have an inservice day the day before school breaks up for the term – WTF?

* I know this timing is insane and am wondering how I am going to get Gilbert back to school again for just one day!

* I really, really enjoyed spending a day out with Gilbert today. He got a long-overdue haircut, we shared morning tea (he ordered!), we shopped (he got a new book, I got shoes) and we hung out near escalators and travelators (his life-long obsession).

* While we were out I loved spending the Target gift voucher I received courtesy of Tina Gray {Dot} me a few weeks back. Being the nice mum I am, I shared the love around so everyone got some benefit out of it!

* I enjoyed watching the new series ofย Beauty and the Geek last night – it is a very guilty pleasure of mine (and as I’m married to a geek myself, I have the perfect excuse to watch!)

* I am SO looking forward to the start of school holidays. For me, it means my husband is home for 2 weeks so I am not limited to my normal work hours and do not have to race around trying to get to the kids on time.

* We have a lot planned for these holidays. My parents are going to take the older kids for some of the first week and then the second week is packed with social events and get-togethers. Not to mention the kids’ requests to go ice-skating and to Lollipops…

* I am annoyed at WordPress as it is not playing nice with me and is stopping me uploading photos at the moment…grrr…

* I have added a Google Friend Connect gadget to my site as well as a long-promised blogroll. So if you feel in a friendly mood, could you please connect as my friend and make me look a little less lonely?

So that is what I know for this week. By now you surely know the drill, go on over to Yay for Home and check out the other Things I Know posts.

Spread the positivity!

Yay Grace, thanks for being my friend!!!

It definitely makes a huge difference having my husband around in the holidays – just gives me a little more flexibility and freedom (which he always complains that I abuse!) when he’s at home. Let’s me breathe a little, for once!

Kirsty, I found it by happy accident! As usual the geeks are ultra geeky and the beauties are silly – edited to within an inch of it’s life but I love it anyway!

and now I’m your friend too ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for friending me Sara! Beauty and the Geek is train wreck TV but it does amuse both myself and my husband – I especially love the makeovers, some of the geeks in previous seasons have turned out to be surprisingly beautiful themselves!
