My First Guest Post

Well, I know it looks like I have been lazing about recently at My Home Truths (yes, it has been nearly a week since my last post, gasp!).

However, I have been spending some time with the kiddies while they are on school holidays (a creditable excuse in my book) and having lots of fun doing it.  I hope you have all had a chance to enjoy the holidays as well.

To be honest, I haven’t been completely idle. I have taken the opportunity of writing my very first guest post, Savouring Family Time, for the lovely Melissa over at The Things I’d Tell You. And she actually liked it enough to publish it…

So, go on, head over to The Things I’d Tell You, have a read and a good look around and then come back over here.  Who knows,  I may have actually gotten myself into gear by then and written something else for you…you’ll never know if you don’t return!

Read it – good post! As full time working mother I really relate. It’s a constant race against time! School holidays are great for catching up on the most important stuff.

Jackie, I’ve been doing my best to catch up during these holidays – but still not looking forward to rejoining the race next week 🙁 I have enough trouble working part-time, hats off to you for being a full-time mother, bet you don’t get paid nearly enough!!!!

  2. Hi Kirsty. I read your guest post and came here to comment. Whilst I don’t share your load as I only work sporadically. I do also suffer from feeling I need to do IT ALL NOW. Often making my kids dizzy from all the dashing. Bringing up a son with ADHD is teaching me to live more ‘in the moment’. Much better for him and his brother and so, so rewarding for me. Thanks for this post. X

Thanks for taking the time to stop by! It is definitely very easy to get caught up in it all – much harder to pull yourself up and take the time to just “live”. I wish you well in your quest to live more “in the moment”!
